Botox® Injections

Botox® Injections in Orange, CA

If you would like to reduce facial lines and wrinkles to reclaim your youthful appearance, Veritas Medical Center offers Botox® Cosmetic, which is one of the most common and effective treatments offered today.

What is Botox® Cosmetic?

Botox® is a prescription injectable medication that has been used to treat a variety of conditions for more than 17 years. In recent decades, cosmetic physicians have discovered its effectiveness in treating wrinkles and facial creases for a variety of patients. Botox® Cosmetic is FDA Approved to treat frown lines, crow’s feet and axillary hyperhidrosis, or excessive underarm sweating.

How does Botox® Cosmetic work?

Botox® Cosmetic works by blocking the signal from the nerves to the muscles. This way, the muscles can’t contract anymore which allows those wrinkles to relax and soften, giving the skin a smooth, youthful appearance.

During your visit, a small amount of Botox® will be injected directly into the targeted area. For the most part, you’ll only feel minor discomfort and we’ll only need a few minutes to administer the treatment. You should see results in three to seven days, but do note that in some cases it may take up to two weeks.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peals in Orange, CA

Are you ready for healthier-looking skin? Chemical Peels will improve cellular renewal and enhance the exfoliation process of the epidermis, the outermost layer of the skin. We offer a variety of chemical peels. Subject to your skin condition or desired outcome will depend on which type of peel is used.

Chemical peels can effectively reduce or even eliminate skin problems including acne, acne scars, sun spots and hyperpigmentation, fine lines, freckles, dark circles, large pores, wrinkles, rough patches, and dry scaly skin.

With the growth of new skin cells and the enhanced production of collagen that follows a chemical peel, your skin will be noticeably fresher, more youthful, brighter and smoother.

During/After The Procedure

The process for applying a chemical peel is generally the same for each type but will vary slightly depending on the level of solution being applied. Anesthesia is not used during this procedure. However, it may be considered for Phenol peels. First, the face is thoroughly cleaned. Then, the chemical agent is brushed on the skin. Patients will experience some mild stinging at this time. The face is then washed and a cool saline compress is applied to act as a neutralizer. Patients will need to wear sunscreen and limit sun exposure as much as possible.

Microneedling

Microneedling in Orange, CA

Micro-needling is a revolutionary treatment that rejuvenates the skin on the face and body to reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and cellulite. Veritas Medical Center offers this innovative treatment to help improve your skin and your confidence.

Micro-needling, which is also referred to as collagen induction therapy (CIT) or micro-pen, is a revolutionary skin rejuvenating treatment. It reduces the appearance of scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and even cellulite. Unlike with laser resurfacing, micro-pen treatments have minimal downtime with a very little chance of adverse side effects.

For skin micro-needling, we use an electric pen-shaped device made especially for this purpose. It is studded with 12 very fine needles which are used to create tiny holes in the skin, triggering the skin’s natural healing response which encourages skin cells to multiply.  This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibers as well as in new capillaries for improved blood flow.  The newly stimulated skin and blood results in firmer, tighter looking skin with diminished lines and wrinkles.

PRP Facial Rejuvenation

PRP Facial Rejuvenation

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is produced from your own blood and is rich in growth factors that promote tissue repair and regrowth. Injecting this substance back into the face can rejuvenate the skin and improve its elasticity and appearance.

For this procedure, one of our experienced physicians will take a sample of your blood, filter out the red blood cells to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then injected back into the face. Because it deals with your own blood, the PRP facial is often referred to as a vampire facial.

How does PRP help rejuvenate the skin?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an extract of your own blood that contains three to five times more platelets. Platelets are active proteins that aid in injury healing, tissue growth and repair, and other regenerative processes. When we add these growth factors back into your skin, they will stimulate collagen production and cell repair. By targeting the skin at a cellular level, PRP can improve the appearance of your skin by smoothing wrinkles, fine lines, and scars, and by softening its overall tone and texture.
